Connection type selection and dial-up options.

Connection type/speed

Specify your connection type. If there is not your connection in the list specify the type which is most like yours.

( i ) Changing your connection type will set new parameters of your speed modes and download settings.

Speed

Maximum

Use maximum speed while downloading files.

Medium

Use medium speed while downloading files. Allows you to download files and at the same time effectively work on the Internet. You may set the maximum download speed and number of threads per download.

Low

Use low speed while downloading files. It's a very useful if you have enough time for your downloads or you are using the Internet actively. You may set the maximum download speed and number of threads per download.

Automatic

  • Reduce download speed if the user's activity detected

    In this mode the download speed is reduced to low while the user is active on the computer. The mode lets the user work on the computer comfortably, maximum download speed is restored when the computer is not used.

  • Reduce download speed if the internet activity detected

    In this mode download speed will be set low while any of the specified programs is working with network (for Windows versions prior to XP this feature works only for Internet Explorer). It is intented for comfortable netsurfing while IDA maintains maximum download speed.

    ( i ) Separate file names with spaces. Format: file_name:port (the "port" parameter is optional). For example: explorer.exe firefox.exe:80
